Speed, agility, regulate and power are the words whispered when RAN is spoken of. The results of the RAN frame may be very clear: 790 grams of weight for the painted size medium. The engineering process has focused particular attention to the stressed sections: bottom bracket, head tube and seat tube as a way to handle a high stiffness ratio and to handle parallel alignment of the wheel axes all through the pedal stroke. The principle features of the RAN frame are stability and comfortable riding performance. RAN has been equipped with an innovative monocoque carbon fork with carbon steerer tube, crown and blades. The straight blades allow manoeuvrability, agility and precision, particularly on descents. RAN is fully compatible with mechanical and electronic shifting systems by running the cables inside the down tube and in the chain stays, by way of an internal bottom bracket passage. The refined attention to detail might be seen in the routing of the rear derailleur wire through the alloy rear dropout. The frame could also be compatible with cable-operated shifting systems. That double compatibility is obtained by replacing small parts through the “cable stop” system described above. The mechanical group set allows external wiring cables. RAN is equipped with PF 30 (press fit 30) with bottom bracket length of 68 mm.
